I have only 2 goals this week. To post 4 blog posts, 2 that I've been meaning to get up, 1 about all thanksgiving cooking that I'm doing, and 1 about Charlie. The other one is to get Princess's birthday party invites done.

Are you all taking it easy this week? I hope you all really take the time to savor this Holiday with your families.

Prayer Notebook App Review

I recently had the opportunity to review an app called Prayer Journal. I was pleasantly surprised with this app!

I am HORRIBLE at remembering things. Seriously. When I go to pray I NEED something written down otherwise imay just forget something 😁 I don't want to forget anything or anyone when I pray so this app is a very useful tool to me.

It has reminders. You can put your prayers into categories and even sub categories. Once a prayer has been answered you can move it to the answered prayers section (which I find great for reminding yourself of the great things God has done). You can also have different days with different prayers.

I open the app when I'm in the kitchen preparing meals and just go down my list praying as I cook. It's so easy to use and all you need is your iPhone. No paper or pen to remember 😄

This is a great app. If you would like to find out more about this app you can go to www.prayernotebookapp.com or to buy this app go to iTunes.apple.com/us/app/prayer-notebook-Christian/id522373829?mt=8

Below are some screenshots of the app on my phone.

And guess what?! I have one to giveaway!! Just enter below! It starts today and ends Monday the 27th!

Goals For Week of 11/11/12

Blah...I accomplished my daily chores last week :-) and spending time with the kids too! However, that's about it.

WHY, oh why is it SO hard to get back on track, into the swing of things, in a routine...whatever you want to call it. I am having a hard time figuring out our new schedule with a new puppy, a teething baby that is waking up at 530am now, a hubby who is working later because of the holiday season, and a little girl who isn't getting nearly enough of her momma as she needs. I keep thinking "oh it'll all just fall into place." I think I may have to push things into place.

I did get a few things donethis morning, so today is already going better. I'm still feeling so stressed though. I know part of it is that I'm not eating right or exercising like I should be, which stressed me out, which causes me to eat bad and not exercise. Stupid never ending cycle
I need to break it so I can start feeling better, so I can take care of my family and house better. So my goals are pretty simple this week because i need them to be and I have a very busy weekend coming up.

Household:
Daily chores

Personal:
Exercise 2x. (Starting small lol)

Kids:
Spend 1:1 time
Do 1 Hour of reading every day

Green Mountain Fair Trade Coffee Review

I recently had the have to learn about (and sample..yay!) Green Mountain Fair Trade Coffee. I was so excited when I learned about this opportunity. I love me some coffee! The wild blueberry is my favorite and you can bet ill be buying it now.

For those of you who do not know what fair trade is; it is where companies (this case Green Mountain) promise that they will give farmers a fair price for their crop. Which is definitely good for farmers. Green Mountain is a Certified Fair Trade company. To learn more about Fair Trade go to www.facebook.com/greenmountaincoffee and watch Grace Potter and Michael Franti in their trips to the Fair Trade farming communities in Colombia and Sumatra!

I'm a Bzzagent and received samples in exchange for my honest opinion.

Charlie Weeks 2 & 3

I'm telling you what... I did not realize how much puppies want to CHEW. Charlie tries to chew everything!! Including iPad cases, the kids, clothes, the cabinets, boxes...you name it he's chewed on it. Yes he does have toys, he just prefers to play with everything other than his toys. He's learning though.

He was doing really good with house and crate training. Then he started pooping and peeing in the house right before breakfast. We have since gotten that worked out and that is no longer an issue. However he has taken to pooping in his box first thing in the morning.

He does so much better when hubby is home. I guess I need to work on my leadership skills.

We tried to go for a walk, with the stroller. Yah....that was an adventure. We will be working in that more starting next week. Just Charlie and I will be going out every afternoon to run. Should be interesting ;-)

He is snugly and cuddly and loves the whole family. All in all he is a great addition to our family. He's learning and we are learning and growing to love him as well.

Any tips or suggestions on raising a puppy?

Charlie week 1: 7 weeks old

First night in his new home he cried as soon as we put him in the crate, he slept much better downstairs by the couch under my feet. As long as we are in the room with him, Charlie doesn't cry unless he needs out. Which happens around 2am. He's really doing much better than I thought he would.

He does great with not going potty in the house, and he hasn't gone potty in his crate at all. He responds great to the "go potty" command too.

We are having to work with him a LOT on biting and chewing. We are having an especially hard time with him doing this to Princess (especially when she is in a dress which is 3/4 of the time). She runs from him instead of forcing him to backdown and stop. We will get there I guess.

He has discovered how to go up the stairs now, but he still can't get down them. It's adorable.

He is doing much better than I thought he would be right now, but man, I tell ya, I'm exhausted. I definitely have another baby now LOL

Any tips on raising a puppy?

Here Charlie decided to sleep half I and half out of the blanket.

Welcome Charlie

I'm pleased to announce the newest member of our family! A pure bred Boxer pup that Princess has named Charlie Brown, Charlie for short.

We picked him up today after his 7 week check up. Let me tell you, I am in love! He was kissing all over his new momma on the way home! He is just the cutest, sweetest, little buddy!

Princess is falling all over herself with excitement and love for him. WonderBoy on the other hand, isn't really that into him. Charlie really likes both of them but is just a bit smaller than WonderBoy so he sees him as more of a playmate--we will have to watch him with this and correct him so this does not continue.

I'm learning a lot from watching/reading Cesar Milan about how to train him and be the pack leader. I'm so excited to run with him eventually.

I will update you all on our progress every Wednesday morning! Hope you'll stay tuned for more in Charlie!
